To all unemployed individuals near the greater Sacramento area, the U.S. Census Bureau has announced its intention to recruit temporary workers to help in the 2010 population count.
Hiring of workers will run from March until April. Employees will be put on a paid training that will last for up to 90 days.
For field staffers, work is flexible but may cover nights and weekends. However, they will receive an automobile reimbursement of 50 cents a mile.
Work vacancies include census takers, office clerks, crew leader, crew leader assistants, field operations supervisors.
