Compensation Case against Billionaire Dismissed

Orange County Judge Derek W. Hunt ruled that former Broadcom Corp. employee Katherine Nichols was not entitled to receive overtime compensation wages.

The ruling was based on the fact that Hunt was an exempt employee hence not entitled to back wages.

The jury found that Hunt was not fired because she testified before a criminal case against the company’s co-founder and billionaire Henry T. Nicholas III.

Nichols was upset with the decision. However, she can always appeal the ruling.
