Ex LAX Policewoman Wins Gender Discrimination Case, to Receive Almost $1 Million

Men and women should be treated equally. They should be provided with the same career opportunities, especially if they have the skills needed for a certain position.

An ex Los Angeles airport police lieutenant believed that she was not provided with an opportunity to work as a captain because of her gender. This is what pushed her to sue LAX for gender discrimination.

According to reports, former lieutenant Kathleen Green was awarded with about $925,209 by a Los Angeles Superior Court jury. She was able to win her gender discrimination claim, but failed to prove her allegations of harassment and retaliation.

She has worked for the department for many years. She retired allegedly due to the unlawful act.

Fortunately, she was able to fight for her rights with the help of her lawyers.

If you were treated unfairly or denied of a promotion because of your gender, do not hesitate to take legal action against your employer. You should not be afraid to face all legal matters involved in the case because a Los Angeles employment attorney will gladly help you throughout the litigation process.
