Mel’s Gibson’s DUI arrest back in 2006 did not just cause legal troubles for the actor, apparently, the Sheriff’s Deputy who arrested the actor was discriminated against and retaliated on by his department.
A judge has recently allowed a discrimination lawsuit filed by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy James Mee to continue after attorneys representing tried to ave the case dismissed.
According to Mee’s lawsuit, after he arrested Gibson, he was unfairly targeted after parts of his report which included Gibson’s anti-Semitic rant which was revealed by TMZ.
Mee, who is Jewish, claimed that he was made to remove the actor’s anti-Jewish rants from the report. Since then, he was passed over for promotion several times and scrutinized heavily.
